Pitch Data Insights: March
As winter begins to loosen its grip, March signals a crucial shift for grounds teams. Analysis of more than 10 million pitch performance data points shows surfaces gradually recovering, with improving root development, stabilising deformation, and better working conditions.
The data also highlights clear differences between hybrid and natural pitches, particularly in hardness, traction, and drainage. With growth beginning to accelerate, the focus for many clubs now moves from simply surviving winter to actively refining pitch performance for the remainder of the season.
Behind the Scenes: Training Pitch Transformations for AFCON 2025
Ahead of the AFCON 2025 in Morocco, ProPitch were responsible for overseeing the pitch quality of 45 pitches, including 36 training pitches alongside the nine stadium match venues.
As always, the stadium pitches take all of the spotlight, however few see the hardwork and improvements of the training pitches which act as a home for the national teams during their stay in country.
